7 Ways To Persist When You Want To Give Up

Have you ever felt like it’s just too hard to achieve?

Well high 5 to you because I’ve had that same feeling at work, the gym and all other walks of life.

Here are 7 great tips that will not only help you reach your fitness goals but can be applied to any area of your life.

1 IGNORE EVERYONE ELSE

In the beginning of working towards a goal, we only see people ahead of us who have achieved what we want.

But when you stop worrying about everyone else and focus on what’s in front of you only then can change begin to take place.

We may not physically see it but I am pretty sure you’ll get that feeling after training efficiently as a result you’ll have more strength, more energy, more enthusiasm.

We can only achieve our goals by no longer comparing yourself to others from doing so we remove all forms of distraction and stick to the plan.

When it comes to conquering a goal, what’s happening with others is irrelevant just focus on you!

Remember you need to gather all the energy you need to tackle this difficult task at hand.

2 BECOME YOUR BIGGEST SUPPORTER

When you join the Ultra Fitness community, you’re not alone. But when you’re at the gym in most cases you are.

Yes it can be motivating to have a training partner but this is a luxury and not a requirement.

You need to look inward and be able to push yourself to find that strength and determination needed to keep going.

Remember to tell yourself, that this is my goal and no one can make me change unless I am willing to take the steps needed to change for the better.

3 COUNT YOUR SMALL WINS

Sometimes we can get so fixated on the end goal we can loose sight of what’s happening right in front of us.

You need to stop and smell the roses a lot of us decided to get in shape and make a change about our health. Because we weren’t happy with the direction we were going.

With that being said count those small wins, acknowledge that you’ve taken action and started to workout at home or the gym.

Your taking control of diet and having more of conscious effort in considering what you eat.

You’ve possibly started to get a lot more, stronger and you have a lot more energy throughout the day compare to before.

People maybe starting to see the change in you both mentally and physical appearance.

Remember to stop counting the scales or over fixating how you look in the mirror, yes it’s great to take progress pictures we advocate it.

But remember where you’re at now does not dictate your future. Count Your Small Wins!

4 FOCUS ON THE NEXT STEP

It can be discouraging to dwell on a big goal that you may have. So create mini-milestones for yourself that will make future steps easier to do.

Simply take it one step at a time. It’s like when I’m doing cardio for 20 minutes, I break it into quarters, let me get through the first 5 minutes.

I tell myself that weren’t so bad let me get myself through these next 5 minutes ‘I’m halfway’. Just focus on those small wins will eventually get you to the end goal.

When you do reach that end goal, oh it will taste so sweet!

5 STOP CLOCK WATCHING

Sometimes we create deadlines to complete a goal based upon the results that others achieved in a certain amount of time.

Completely forgetting the fact everyone is different. You can’t expect the same changes to take place in the same time window we are all unique.

Your body may respond differently to a program compare to others.

Be mindful that of the fact that you will see the change you are seeking for but it won’t be the exact same as the person you saw on Instagram or Facebook. Life doesn’t work like that.

But with a strategic plan approach to your diet and workout you can ensure the change that you seek.

If your in need of plans just checkout the workouts and meals section of the app.

6 STOP LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT

There are times you just don’t feel like going to the gym or you’ve started the workout and you feel like cutting it short.

This is very common we all live busy lives and you very well could be tired from work, studies, cooking or taking care of the kids.

Training is the last thing you want to do. Instead of thinking of all the reasons why shouldn’t go to the gym just go and see what you can do.

Doing something is better than nothing!

Once you get the blood flow going you will gather the strength as you begin to warm up. Clear your mind of all thoughts of how difficult things are.

Remember pain is temporary. There is a natural feeling to make it go away by quitting.

But put yourself in a positive frame of mind, focus on the end goal and the long-term effect that this workout will have.

Gather all the strength you need to keep going by stay positive.

7 ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR LIMITATIONS

It is very common for people that have such a strong will that they can expect so much of themselves. There is a fine line between overdoing it.

Sometimes doing the hardest workout or choosing an extra heavy weight is not the best thing for you to get results. Know your limits everyone’s situation is different.

Acknowledge where you are now and put yourself in the best position to be successful.

As you work to achieve your fitness goals there will be challenges along the way, it can be easy to give up.

But if you follow these 7 steps you will be able to find the strength once difficult times arise.
